Request a Payment Plan from the Department of Revenue

If you owe taxes and want to set up a payment plan, you can make the request online through the TransAction Portal (TAP).

How to Request a Plan

  1. Log in to your TAP account. If you don't have one, select New User? Setup online access on the login page.
  2. Select the account you want to request a payment plan for. The account must have a balance due.
  3. In the Account Options panel, choose Request a Payment Plan.
  4. Submit your request.

After You Submit

Most requests are approved immediately. If we need to review your request, we will send you a web message in TAP. To check your messages, select the Correspondence tab, then My Notices.

Eligible Tax Types

You can request a payment plan for these tax types:

  • Withholding Tax
  • Individual Income Tax
  • Lodging Facility Sales and Use Tax
  • Corporate Income Tax
  • Small Business Corporation Tax
  • Partnership Tax
  • Other Tobacco Products Tax
  • Bad Debts
