Deadline to Apply for a New Licensed Location

SB 27 passed in the 2025 legislative session and is effective July 1, 2025. This bill “freezes the footprint” of the legal marijuana industry. As a result of this bill, the CCD will be accepting applications to add additional licensed locations until 7/1/25. Applications will need to be complete as of 6/30/25 in order to move forward. Any application not considered complete will be denied effective 7/1/25.

Per 42.39.107(5), the definition of a complete application is:

“An application is considered complete when the applicant or licensee, as applicable, has provided all statements, forms, diagrams, operation plans, and other applicable documents required in the application and has paid the nonrefundable processing fee…”

CCD is strongly recommending that applications to add locations be submitted by June 20, 2025. This allows time for the TAP system to receive the completed application and the system to process the payment.

Complete applications received by 7/1/25 will be issued a conditional license pending the completion of a successful inspection.
