Notification Procedures
Licensees must have written procedures for notifying registered cardholders, consumers, and other licensees who may possess affected products, including clear methods and timing.
Public Notification
New requirements for issuing press releases and posting recall details on licensee websites.
Timelines
Licensees must activate their recall plan within 24 hours, issue public notifications within 48 hours, and destroy/remediate affected products within 30 business days.
Reporting
Weekly progress reports to the department are now required.
Proof of Compliance
Written confirmation and supporting documentation must be provided to verify compliance.
