Brewery Storage Depot Licenses

If you are licensed to manufacture beer in Montana, you may apply for a Brewery Storage Depot License.

A storage depot license lets you operate an additional location if it is:

• A building anywhere in Montana
• Owned, leased, maintained, or operated by a Montana licensed brewery
• For receiving, handling, storing, selling, and distributing beer

Note: Only a licensed Montana brewery may apply for a storage depot license. (16-4-102, MCA).

Fees

The following fees apply to a Brewery Storage Depot License:

• New License Fee: $400
• Application Processing Fee: $100
• Renewal Fee: $400

The application processing fee applies only to original applications and does not apply to renewals.

The cost of a Brewery Storage Depot License is separate from your brewery license.

How to Apply

• Apply by mail using the Brewery Storage Depot License (Form BS-DEPOT)
• Apply online through our TransAction Portal (TAP).

Renewal Requirements

• This license must be renewed every year by June 30.
