Revised Rule Related to Marijuana Labeling and Education Rule Now Effective

MAR Notice No. 2026-93.2 – Revising Rules Related to Marijuana Labeling and Education (to Implement HB 792 [2025]). No hearing requests were received; comments were received. The department did receive combined comments on the rulemaking. Rules were amended from the original proposal.

Effective Date: August 22, 2026

Dispensaries must update exit packaging to include the revised warnings. Additionally, all marijuana dispensaries must conspicuously display the poster required by 16-12-215, MCA, at each point of sale, ensuring it is clearly visible to a customer.
