Alcohol Beverage Control Tax,
E-Services, and Account Management

Did you know that e-file is not just for electronically filing taxes?

The Liquor Control Division is committed to providing quality electronic services to agency store owners, liquor licensees, registrants and the general public in an effort to ensure accurate, confidential, secure and cost effective processing of information and payments.

Access and Manage Accounts Online

Montana e-file is offered through Taxpayer Access Point (TAP), a free electronic service for accessing account information, filing and amending tax returns, filing and paying liquor license renewals as well as, updating and managing accounts.

You can access TAP by simply clicking on the link below that corresponds to your account type. Once you are in TAP, you can access your account(s) or register if you have not done so.

Liquor Vendors

Customers with a Liquor Vendor Account (LVA), are able to access reports pertaining to the products they offer to the state of Montana. These include stock level and activity reports. A detailed depletion report called the Payment Authorization is also available at the end of each month.

In addition to the reports mentioned above, liquor vendors are able to utilize calculators to help determine the posted price per bottle for each item they plan to sell in the state of Montana. Two calculators are available. One works through the formula from FOB to posted price, while the other one works backwards from posted price to FOB.

Liquor vendors are also able to access their Vendor Rep License (VRL) account. This allows them to renew their vendor permit and representative registration.
